ChocoBanana, a charming breakfast restaurant nestled in Sayulita, has quickly garnered rave reviews from patrons. Guests rave about the delightful food, with standout dishes like the Plato de Pancho, featuring vibrant red chilaquiles, and the popular Big Boy breakfast that comes highly recommended. The homemade banana bread, though served late for some, adds a sweet finish to the meal that many return for.
The overall atmosphere at ChocoBanana is vibrant and welcoming, bolstered by the owner’s friendly demeanor and the staff’s attentive service, which contributes to a feel-good dining experience. While some reviews highlight minor service delays—common in a busy eatery—the smiles and energy of the team shine through, reflecting a well-loved establishment. A tip for diners with allergies: be mindful of the bees that occasionally wander in, as noted by previous guests.
Value is also a strong suit, with meals described as generously portioned and reasonably priced, making it an excellent choice for families and friends. Overall, ChocoBanana exemplifies what a breakfast spot should be: delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a community feel that keeps visitors coming back for more.

The food at this place was amazing! I ordered the Plato de Pancho which was red chilaquiles and I also ordered the Chocochino which was very delicious but super sweet. I felt like there wasn’t much coffee in it. The service wasn’t great but they were super busy. We asked if we seat ourselves and they said yes so we did and didn’t get someone to come by until like 15min later. We also ordered banana bread and it didn’t come until we were all done eating so we had to take it home. We will definitely be back

The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and upbeat, perfectly complementing the lively atmosphere. The food was delicious and well-prepared, making for an overall enjoyable experience. One thing to note: if you have a bee allergy, this might not be the best choice of restaurant. While we didn’t have any issues, we noticed a couple of nearby tables dealing with bees, which could be a concern for some guests.

Our favorite place after 2 weeks in Sayulita. Ate breakfast here almost every morning. Seeing the owner help out each morning with a huge smile on her face is a true testament of someone living their dream. What she’s accomplished here is something I loved watching each morning with a cup of coffee in my hands. The food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. The service was perfect. You could tell the employees were treated like family. I tried a dozen things on the menu and they all were 10/10. Go! And take home a bag of coffee beans.

Really enjoyed brunch here while staying in Sayulita. Great portion and friendly service. The wait wasn’t long for a table as I expected as it’s very popular and for good reason!

We were in the area without any knowledge were to eat lunch. We passed and the atmosphere caught our attention, we were immediately taken care by the host and he provided us a great service. They serve breakfast all day, my son was all in. We had something called Big Boy with scrambled eggs, hot cakes *delicious*, etc. Chilaquiles and Enchiladas suizas. Very nice, we wanted to have some bread but we were full. It was cheap considering the place, we paid for the 3 of us 750mx pesos including tip. They have a very nice story of the place, so look at the photos in the wall. We enjoyed it and hope you do too.

my husband and I had breakfast here three times during our week stay in sayulita and we both ordered the same thing all three times: the chorizo burritos. 2 little burritos with homemade chorizo, egg, and cheese. the hot salsa they bring on the side is so, so good. it goes perfect with the chorizo. comes with some little seasoned potatoes on the side as well. also ordered a cappuccino each time. I loved this place. last but not least, the service is top notch!! and the atmosphere is adorable, lots of charm and character and interesting historical photos on the walls.

Had breakfast here our first morning in Sayulita. I loved that there was a small portion breakfast which was 100 pesos - as well as a kids menu for 85 peso. Most places don’t offer this - and myself nor my toddler eats a huge portion at breakfast! The owner was super friendly and the place was busy with good energy all around!

This was such an amazing place. The servers were very friendly. The menu offers breakfast all day and the drinks are delicious. I ordered the lemon slush and it didn’t taste like it had sugar, very refreshing! Their food was AMAZING. I ordered the nachos and steak burrito and it was enough to feed two people. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is hungry and looking for a quick place to eat. The people are very very helpful too so don’t hesitate to ask for anything.
